Why is this train from Heidelberg to Frankfurt so empty?

My dad used to have a couple of Heidelberg machines in a print shop he co-owned with a partner.

In December 2007, I saw one of these machines, from the 1950s, out of use but still standing, in a basement print shop in Kerman, Iran
